Krang confirmed to appear in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel

01.04.2016

All the old favorites are being brought back for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS.

Rocksteady, Bebop and Casey Jones are already slated to be a part of the action, but it looks as if a familiar villain will also be introduced along the way.

As revealed in Rolling Stone's latest conversation with Michael Bay concerning 13 HOURS, the topic of the NINJA TURTLES sequel and some of its visual effects came up... and lo and behold, we got some chatter on Krang.

They start with Ninja Turtles animation. Pablo Helman, a visual-effects supervisor who worked on the Star Wars prequels, appears onscreen and shows Bay the latest version of Krang, a new-to-the-movies villain who is, essentially, a disembodied brain inside a giant robot. "So we've eliminated the tentacles," Helman explains. "Is it too monster-ish?"

"He could have some tentacles," says Bay. "I just don't want them coming out of the side. He looks like a stupid octopus."

Stupid octopus, huh? Hmmm... How much does this mean they could be changing the appearance of Krang, as if they haven't caught enough flack in the past for altering the looks of things?

Krang has gone through some changes in the past, particularly in the outer casing... but the tentacled brain has mostly stayed the same. We haven't caught a look at Krang yet, so it's time to start keeping an eye out in order to learn if we'll be octopus-ing or not this summer. The search is on.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS comes out of the sewers on June 3, 2016.

I like how all the hate from the first film just kinda faded away and now we kinda have no choice but to go with it, so I understand the new found fondness for this film, but come on guys, they absolutely destroyed our childhood with this one, the movie is more like a live action STREET SHARKS movie. BUT, I do understand that kids love it and we love that they love the ninja turtles, regardless of how much I cringe when I see them now. I've always wondered what it would be like to get a proper

BUT, I do understand that kids love it and we love that they love the ninja turtles, regardless of how much I cringe when I see them now. I've always wondered what it would be like to get a proper remake of the first live action film, the real suits, which in my opinion would look even cooler on screen, just have the tone very bleak, and not a CGI colorfest, I'm thinking it would make money, just look at how much the old live action trilogy made in terms of box office, they cleaned up. Anyways, I'm rambling. I love the ninja turtles, plain and simple, they were my childhood for a while, it just sucks to see this interpretation on screen, but what ever.

We don't need another version of the first one. I think the hate faded because people actually like what they are doing with this sequel. The majority of Turtle fans are not fans because of the comics. They are fans because of the cheesy 80's and 90's cartoon. This movie looks like a movie version of that cartoon.

It can't be any worse than anything that was in the first rebooted film; especially the cgi shitfest that was Splinter.

Anybody remember that movie in the 80s called "Invaders From Mars"? There was a krang look alike in that. Wish I wasn't busy or I would provide a link
