Peter Farrelly announces that Dumb and Dumber To finished shooting; says it could be the best of all time

I’ve been waiting, and waiting, and waiting on something else from DUMB AND DUMBER TO. ANYTHING.Yesterday, director Peter Farrelly did an IAmA over on Reddit to answer fan questions…even ones about MOVIE 43.

What’s awesome is that DUMB AND DUMBER TO has finished shooting! When asked if there was any news on the sequel, the director said this:

We just finished shooting, don’t want to brag, but it could be the best movie of all time. Seriously though, we’re thrilled with it and are trying to get the studio to push the release date up. We can’t wait for you to see it!

He was also asked if there would be any good cameos in the second installment. A few names have been thrown in the mix but they may have been only rumors:

We have some of the greatest cameos in film history in Dumb an Dumber To. However, we want to keep them as a surprise. I will say this, some of the names I’ve seen bandied about are incorrect. But you won’t be disappointed.

When should we expect to see a teaser trailer for the film?

I would think in the next six to eight weeks.

There’s tons of great stuff about DUMB AND DUMBER: the chemistry between Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey, the return of the ’84 sheepdog, and how Farrelly wishes he wasn’t involved in MOVIE 43. There’s also mention of a famous 80s teen comedy writer who helped with DUMB AND DUMBER though his name could not be mentioned. You can likely guess who it is though.
