The next stop on board the TV revival train could be for Full House

04.02.2015

Are TV revivals the new “shared universe” bandwagon that everyone has to jump on? Seriously, what is going on here? Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Coach, Heroes; all these shows will be returning to television. The latest series brought back to the land of the living could be none other than Full House. TVLine broke the news that Netflix is "thisclose" to ordering a thirteen episode continuation of Full House which would go by the exceedingly clever title of Fuller House.

Fuller House would star Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. and Andrea Barber as her BFF Kimmy with John Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier being eyed to make guest appearances on the show. Full House creator Jeff Franklin is apparently at the head of this revival along with Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett, both of whom were executive-producers on the original sitcom. Full House ran from 1987-1995 on ABC but several members of the cast have since gotten together for various commercials and skits, most recently, this commercial for Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt. Guys, I mentioned it, can I have my free yogurt now?

Variety also reported the news of this possible Full House resurrection but said that a Netflix rep claimed the report was "just a rumor" but wouldn't elaborate any further. Looks like we'll have to wait for Netflix's official word before we count this as a definite thing. Any Full House fans out there looking forward to this?

Extra Tidbit: Aside from all the other series that have already been scheduled for revival, what TV show would you most want to see return with all-new episodes?

Don't forget Boy Meets World was revived in a sequel of sorts with Corey and Topanga's daughter. I like it. It's no BMW that's for sure. But it still has that spirit. So I appreciate that. As for the tidbit. I like to see short limited revivals for maybe Buffy idk. There's so many characters from shows I'd love to see again. Alf? The "Friends", Seinfeld, Eerie Indiana? Idk.

If this happens then you better believe in Urkel junior, whether you want to or not .

The twins from what I've read on other sites are the less interested in any sort of reunion... I believe they are "retired" from acting.

I never saw it, but I love the theme song.

Extra tidbit: Revival seasons (as well as movie adaptations) should be a privilege reserved for shows that didn't get a final episode... unless the show didn't have an ongoing story (like most sitcoms) and/or the last episode to air had enough closure (like most shows where they already felt they were going to be cancelled).

To quote Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, "John Stamos!". Extra tidbit: Sports Night. That short lived series was great. Also, Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place revival would be great.

Yeah man, I echo the "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place" comment. My Dad and I used to watch that together each week back when I was in like 6th grade. It was my introduction to both Ryan Reynolds and Nathan Fillion.
