Normally if I were going to share a video that I thought was cool, I’d embed a link to the video on JoBlo Video and tell you to check it out. But this video I’m about to show you needs to be seen in HD. To watch it in a Flash player would just not do it justice.
Artist Marco Brambilla had a vision for something he called “Civilization.” It was described as “a moving landscape depicting the ascension from hell to heaven.” To help create he used stock footage, original clips and a bunch of movie footage all combined to give the viewer a sense that they were in an elevator through the afterlife.
Through a few viewings, I was able to pick up on 300, STAR WARS, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, GHOSTBUSTERS and ENCHANTED but I know there’s a ton more that I am missing. Check out the video for yourself and see what you can pick up from all of this.
