New creepy poster unveiled for the upcoming It remake

The more I hear about the IT remake, the more excited I get. The novel is great, and it's nice to see it being given the full big-budget, studio, R-rated treatment. If any story deserved getting a second chance on the screen, IT would it. Not only that, but it seems like they're not fucking it up! Oh, happy day!

Anyway, with the release date fast approaching, Warner Bros. has unveiled a new, moody poster at SDCC. Let's take a look:

I like it! I especially like how Pennywise's red balloon draws the eye in the center toward him. Nice layout. Also, the fog reminds me of SILENT HILL a bit, which isn't a bad thing to be reminded of. 

Meanwhile, IT will haunt theaters September 8th.
