Haha I don't care what the poster looks like (it's black and has two red glowing things for eyeballs), all I know is that this movie is going to be amazingly awesome in so many ways more than the first.

Autobots, check. Decepticons, check. Shit blowing up, check. Cool cars, check. Megan Fox and her stuff, check. Michael Bay and his way of blowing stuff up, double-check.

I like it

I like the poster, fake or not. I've been watching Transformers recently and I decided that the 2 things I disliked about that movie were; the scene when the autobots go back to Sam's house; and Shia his self. I can't stand to watch any part that he speaks more than 2 lines in. He is VERY over-rated. Regardless, I still wanna see 2 when it comes out.

Boooooring... Looks like a lame video game ad you would find in EGM or something. I didn't care much for the first movie, but I'll probably end up seeing this one anyway. I suppose it'll be a decent enough way to burn a couple of hours on a day off from work if I've nothing else to do.

"Brilliant"

Any true transformers fan loved the first movie it was the ultimate way to bring them back for us and the general public again, theres no doubt at all that Transformers 2 will be the best and most visualy amazing summer blockbuster of 2009, michael bay is one of the best producer directors around so the film is in good hands. gonna be bigger and more badass than people think.

OST

TF1 was great fun, and without a few corny lines , with a little extra plot and recognizable robots it would have been superb!

oh, and the soundtrack and atmosphere were great as in most of Bay's movies!!

i never liked the look of the Transformers in the first film, and i dont like this one either. it looks like somebody just said, "lets put as many jagged edges as we can so it looks scary, never mind the fact that it kind of looks exactly like Sauron from Lord of the Rings."

daydreamer, I don't think anyone is judging the movie on the poster, I'm fairly sure people are judging their enjoyment of the film based on their enjoyment of the first film, which should be pretty fair. I would never judge whether I want to see a movie on it's poster, nor, usually, on the trailer alone.

Got to say that I find that poster amazingly boring, regardless of whether in high-def it reveals slightly more. But then I didn't think much of the Transformers ad campaign either. I'll see this movie for the same reason I saw the first one: My mates will go, and they'll ask me to go. Maybe I'll enjoy some of the explosions?
I just couldn't see the appeal of the first one.

It doesn't look very conclusive to decide whether or not I'll endure another two and a half hours of toy commercial. I know that "toy commercial" is the new hip subgenre thanks to the unholy success of Transformers and Iron Man (which would make good material for a C'mon Hollywood tribune) but this poster is kinda bland nonetheless.
