A mother’s worst fear comes true in Viper Club trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

YouTube Premium and Roadside Attractions have released a trailer for their upcoming drama VIPER CLUB. Starring Oscar award winning actress Susan Sarandon (THELMA & LOUISE, DEAD MAN WALKING, BULL DURHAM), VIPER CLUB tells the story of a mother whose faith is shaken after her war correspondent son is taken hostage while on assignment. As the tragedy begins to unravel, Helen (Srandon) becomes increasingly frustrated with her government's lack of concern for her situation, and in time enlists the aid of influential donors to help raise the ransom for his safe return.

Directed and co-written by Maryam Keshavarz (CIRCUMSTANCE, THE COLOE OF LOVE) alongside NOT FOR SALE scribe Jonathan Mastro, VIPER ROOM was produced by YouTube Premium in association with CounterNarrative and MaraKesh Films. Handling distribution for the drama are YouTube Premium and Roadside Attractions. The film will be making its Toronto International Film Festival debut later today, with plans to distribute the movie in U.S. theaters beginning on October 26. Starring alongside Sarandon in the emotional tale of deception, greed, and loss are Matt Bomer, Damian Young and Edie Falco.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and when that woman is a strong-willed mother with connections in high places, you'd better watch out.
