The comedic legend, Carol Burnett, will be a guest star on the final season of Better Call Saul. She will play a character named Marion, though details are thin regarding how she factors into the tangled web of the plot. “I’m thrilled to be a part of my favorite show,” Burnett said in a statement about joining the cast.

Burnett isn’t the only high-profile face to watch for in the final season. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will also appear on the show as their characters, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. These guest spots are all in service of celebrating the transformation of antihero Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) into the clever and despicable criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.

Burnett is a comedy icon known for hosting the variety sketch series The Carol Burnett Show. The laugh-out-loud variety program aired on CBS from 1967-1978 and won 25 Emmys for its outstanding excellence. Burnett also has her share of awards, including prizes from the Emmys, Golden Globes, a Grammy, and a Tony. In addition to other honors, she is a two-time Peabody Award winner and has been issued the Presidential Medal of Honor.

Burnett joins a cast including Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, Tony Dalton, and Giancarlo Esposito. With so many seasoned players contributing to the final season of Better Call Saul, this sounds like it could be a finale to remember. Better Call Saul is about to inherit comedy royalty, and her name is Carol Burnett. Bring it on.

Better Call Saul returns for its final six episodes beginning on Monday, July 11, on AMC and AMC+, with the series finale set for Aug. 15.
