Bradley Cooper is in negotiations to join RED BLOODED AMERICAN, another in a line of Lance Armstrong biopics. Jay Roach is on board to direct the pic with Cooper possibly producing and starring in one of the two leads; Armstrong or Tyler Hamilton, a former teammate of Armstrong's who outed the defrocked champion. The pic is on the fast track as there are two other Armstrong pics in the works. One of them is director Stephen Frears project set to star Ben Foster as Armstrong and with a script by TRAINSPOTTING's John Hodge. The other is the J.J. Abrams produced film based on the book Cycle Of Lies: The Fall Of Lance Armstrong, by sportswriter Juliet Macur.

It's unclear who will make the photo finish to the big screen, but Cooper will be busy promoting his upcoming AMERICAN HUSTLE from director David O. Russell and is set to star in Cameron Crowe's next project, slated to shoot in Hawaii this fall, so it won't be an overnight gig. Cooper is also trying to find a new home for his adaptation of AMERICAN SNIPER, which Spielberg and Dreamworks dropped earlier this month. One things is for sure, though: Lance Armstrong biopics are peddling fast to the big screen, like it or not.

What do you think? Do we really need that many projects about the defamed cyclist?
