By the ’90s, the slasher sub-genres popularity was in decline. Of course, history would change when Wes Craven’s Scream revitalized slashers for a new generation, but there’s one flick that had all the right ideas, just came out in the wrong era: Dr. Giggles (WATCH IT HERE). With the superb casting of Larry Drake and the ridiculous gimmick, Dr. Giggles was the perfect blend of dark humor, absurd kills, and great one-liners. For today’s episode of The Black Sheep, we’re heading back to the simpler days of 1992 and showing some love for this forgotten slasher!

Directed by Manny Coto and starring Larry Drake, Holly Marie Combs, Glenn Quinn, Cliff DeYoung, Dr. Giggles has the following synopsis:

A madman who believes he’s a doctor comes to the town where his crazy father was killed, and soon begins murdering people and becoming infatuated with a teenage girl who has a heart condition.

This episode of The Black Sheep was Written, Narrated, and Edited by Lance Vlcek, Produced by Lance Vlcek, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
