DEAD MAN DOWN looks like a fun action flick from an unexpected source. Watching this new exclusive to JoBlo.com TV spot, I got a very Antoine Fuqua or David Ayer vibe from the style and feel of the movie. But, when you see it is the English directing debut of Niels Arden Oplev, the man who directed the original version of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, you realize you are in for a movie with a little more substance to it.

Reuniting with his Lisbeth Salander, Noomi Rapace, Oplev has two great stars in the form of Terrence Howard and Colin Farrell who look like they know how to blow shit up, real good.

Plot: DEAD MAN DOWN is a powerful action thriller and portrait of two people caught in the cross-hairs of revenge. Starring Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace as two strangers whose mutual desire for revenge draws them together and triggers an escalating chain of violence. Danish filmmaker Niels Arden Oplev directs from a screenplay by J.H.Wyman (FRINGE).

Costarring Dominic Cooper, DEAD MAN DOWN looks like a gritty and dark action noir that should bring Winter to a nice close when it opens on March 8th.
