Alex Garland's Ex Machina close to signing Oscar Isaac and Domnhall Gleeson

Word came in last month that DREDD and 28 DAYS LATER screenwriter Alex Garland was poised to make his directorial debut on EX MACHINA, an indie flick about a billionaire who creates a female robot, with presumably dicey results. The project must be moving at a decent pace, now that two of the crucial roles are close to being filled.

The Wrap reports that Oscar Isaac (DRIVE; pictured above) and Domhnall Gleeson (HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS) are near signing onto the independent thriller, which Scott Rudin is producing. Isaac would be playing the billionaire, while Gleeson will portray his employee.

Furthermore, the site reports that several up-and-coming young actresses are being considered for the role of the female automaton, including Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander. I've helpfully posted images of them below, so you can consider who you'd prefer as a robo-companion.

Felicity Jones

Extra Tidbit: Any preference between the two ladies?
