Charlotte Hope and Jonas Bloquet will encounter The Nun

Charlotte Hope

The demonic nun who creeped out viewers in last year's THE CONJURING 2 will – somehow – be coming back to torment a whole new batch of characters in her own spin-off film, which is appropriately titled THE NUN, and two more actors have just signed on to face off with her.

THE NUN's new cast members are Charlotte Hope, who may be best known for playing Myranda on Game of Thrones, and Jonas Bloquet, who recently had a role in Paul Verhoeven's ELLE. Details on Bloquet's character weren't revealed, but it is known that Hope will be playing "Sister Victoria, a nun haunted by a demonic presence."

Hope and Bloquet join Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, and Bonnie Aarons in the cast. The script, written by Gary Dauberman (who has experience writing CONJURING spin-offs, having written both ANNABELLE films) and CONJURING director James Wan, centers on

a priest named Father Burke (Bichir) who is sent to Rome to investigate the mysterious death of a nun.

Farmiga will be playing the deceased nun, with Aarons reprising her CONJURING 2 role as the demonic nun.

THE HALLOW director Corin Hardy is at the helm of THE NUN, which is being produced by Wan and Peter Safran. Filming begins this week for a July 13, 2018 release.
