POSTER REMOVED! IT WAS FAN MADE!

Well folks Arnold Schwarzenegger is back! It should come as no surprise to you folks that all of us here at AITH are stoked about that. So you should understand why we stray away from our beloved genre on rare occasions. Kim Ji-Woon’s THE LAST STAND is one of those occasions.

And today we’ve got the first one-sheet from the flick for you guys to check out! That’s right folks! Aside from some behind the scenes shots, we haven’t been treated to much from THE LAST STAND. Actually we haven’t been treated to anything. So you can see why this one-sheet is a pretty big deal right? Just scroll on down below to tap that shite in all of it’s colorful glory. You can also head on over to JoBlo’s Pimpin’ Poster Palace for a larger look at the goods.

Schwarzenegger stars as Sheriff Owens, a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction after leaving his LAPD post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. After a spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy, the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the hemisphere is hurtling toward the border at 200 mph in a specially outfitted car with a hostage and a fierce army of gang members. He is headed, it turns out, straight for Sommerton Junction, where the whole of the U.S. law enforcement will have their last opportunity to make a stand and intercept him before he slips across the border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately accepts responsibility for one of the most daring face offs in cinema history.

Along with Schwarzenegger the action flick also stars Luis Guzman, Johnny Knoxville, Jaime Alexander, Forest Whitaker, Harry Dean Stanton, Zach Gilford, Rodrigo Santoro, Eduardo Noriega, Peter Stormare and Genesis Rodriguez (below). It’s due for release on January 18, 2013 so we can expect a lot more LAST STAND updates as we move towards the end of the year.
