Clip provides the first look at Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers

This morning I'm feeling deeply jealous of everyone who got to watch Kevin Smith's new film YOGA HOSERS at its Sundance world premiere last night (and received an exclusive origin story comic book while they were there.) Those of us who weren't able to attend the film festival haven't been completely left out in the cold, though, as a clip from the movie was released online over the weekend and can be viewed below.

A spin-off of TUSK that features Harley Quinn Smith, Lily Rose Depp, and Johnny Depp reprising the roles they played in that film, YOGA HOSERS

centers on 15-year-old yoga nuts Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith), who have an after-school job at a Manitoba convenience store called Eh-2-Zed. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with a legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe (Depp) to fight for their lives with all seven chakras, one Warrior Pose at a time.

Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Adam Brody, Tyler Posey, Kevin Conroy, Stan Lee, Jason Mewes, Jennifer Schwalbach, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman, and Harley Morenstein also star, along with a bunch of Bratzis and the Goalie Golem.

The clip shows the moment when the Colleens receive that party invitation, and provides a glimpse into the teen comedy that builds up to the arrival of the ancient evil and oddball creatures. With a comedically bad Canadian accent, some fun performances from its young stars, and a use of the Terence Trent D'Arby song "Wishing Well" that had me immediately seeking out the full song to listen to (a few times), I found this to be an entertaining clip:
