First Godzilla vs. Kong footage smashes in

At the virtual CCXP event over the weekend, Warner Bros. showed off some new footage for some of their most highly-anticipated blockbusters, including Wonder Woman 1984, and – more topically – Godzilla vs. Kong! You can check it out in the link at the top of the article!

To be fair, it's admittedly very brief, but it's still exciting to know that the movie is finally coming! And as a fan of both these franchises, seeing them duke it out utilizing state-of-the-art special effects is just too damn cool to not be excited about (even if the guys in suits from the Japanese original from the 60s still had its charms too, of course).

Here's the official synopsis:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.”

Meanwhile, Godzilla vs. Kong is set to premiere simultaneously in theaters and HBO Max May 21st, 2021 May 21, 2021 (unless, of course Legendary has anything to say about it…)
