Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005) – The Black Sheep

Last Updated on July 6, 2022

Hellraiser: Hellworld (WATCH IT HEREOWN IT HERE) is a far cry from the brilliance of the first two films or even the fun MTV shlock of Hell On Earth and Bloodline, but if anything, we can all admit that it doesn’t commit the cardinal sin of being boring. Is this eighth installment in the series good? No. Is it a good Hellraiser movie? Also, no, but as an early 2000’s straight to DVD curio that swings for the fences, Hellworld is worth a look simply for how crazy it is.

Sometimes dumb fun is just what the bartender ordered. This has the novelty of being one of the first appearances of Henry Cavill, the pain of being the final appearance of Doug Bradley, and tosses just about every possible idea you could think of to fill 93 minutes. So pour yourself a strong one (trust us), and let’s go full meta as we explore the oddity that is Hellraiser: Hellworld.

Directed by Rick Bota and starring Henry Cavill, Lance Henriksen, Doug Bradley, and Khary Payton, Hellraiser: Hellworld has the following synopsis:

Gamers playing a MMORPG based on the “Hellraiser” films find their lives endangered after being invited to a rave, the host of which intends to show them the truth behind the Cenobite mythos.

This episode of The Black Sheep was Written, and Narrated by Andrew Hatfield, Edited by Lance Vlcek, Produced by Lance Vlcek, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
