Keith David plays dangerous games in Union Furnace trailer and clip

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Director Nicholas Bushman's psychological thriller UNION FURNACE will be released in select theatres and on Vimeo On Demand next Friday, July 17th, and in anticipation of this we have a look at the film's trailer, as well as clip featuring the great Keith David.

David is joined in the cast by Mike Dwyer (who co-wrote the screenplay with Bushman), Seth Hammond, Katie Keene, Kevin Crowley, Tara Bellando, Lyle Kanouse, Ben FC Wallace, David Hayward, and Misa Farslow. Together, they bring the following story to the screen:

Small-town crook Cody was at the end of his rope when a mysterious stranger offered him the chance of his life. There was just one catch – in this game he would have to wager everything, including his life. Cody finds himself trapped amongst a band of outsiders and misfits – all fighting for their lives and a slice of the American dream. Fueled by a horde of masked sadists, Cody and the others will win a fortune or die a brutal death.

I'm kind of feeling burned out on "strangers forced to play a deadly game" movies, but I do find the small town depression/wood panelled nightmare look and tone of this one to be very intriguing and appealing. Plus, and I may be a bit biased here, I have to say that they've given their lead character the best name a protagonist can possibly have.

I'll be watching UNION FURNACE, check out these videos to decide if you will, too:
