A trailer has been released for DOGTOOTH / THE LOBSTER director Yorgos Lanthimos' "suburban Greek tragedy" horror film THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER, and while the trailer doesn't really get across exactly what the story is, it does offer some nice visuals and establishes an appealingly odd tone. I'm left not knowing what the hell is going on in the movie, but wanting to see it all play out.

Written by Lanthimos and Efthymis Filippou, THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER is said to be about

a successful surgeon who attempts to integrate a teenager into his family, but when the teen’s actions grow increasingly sinister, the doctor is forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice.

Sounds good to me. The surgeon is played by Colin Farrell, who is joined in the cast by Nicole Kidman, Barry Keoghan, Raffey Cassidy, Sunny Suljic, Bill Camp, and Alicia Silverstone.

A24 will be releasing the film into theatres on November 3rd.
