Magnolia finally taps horror anthology V/H/S with a release date!

The last time we heard anything regarding the horror anthology V/H/S was back in January, when this shite got snatched up by Magnolia Pictures. Now here we are, a couple months later, and Magnolia have finally saddled this little diddy with a release date!

Magnolia Pictures announced today that they'll be dropping V/H/S into theaters for a limited theatrical run starting October 5th, but that's not before releasing the flick on Video-on-Demand August 31st. What's the deal with all these flicks hitting VOD then theaters? Don't get me wrong, I'm digging it... It's just a little weird.

The film follows a group of misfits hired to burglarize a house to find a rare VHS tape, only to find more found footage than they wanted to see..

V/H/S will include segments directed by Adam Wingard, Simon Barrett, Ti West, David Bruckner, Joe Swanberg, Glenn McQuaid and Radio Silence, which includes Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Chad Villella. Dang... How many segments does this thing have?!

Mark it on your calenders folks! V/H/S hits VOD starting August 31st followed by a limited theatrical run on October 5th.
