Ryan Reynolds in talks to hear The Voices for Mandalay Vision

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Ryan Reynolds might be talking to an evil cat and a benevolent dog after he commits murder in THE VOICES, the simply bizarre psychological thriller/dark comedy that recently attracted Oscar-nominee Marjane Satrapi to the director’s chair. This is one of the more intriguing projects in the pipeline, and Reynolds appears to be a perfect fit for the role.

THE VOICES focuses on Jerry, a schizophrenic worker at a bathtub factory, who accidentally kills an attractive woman from accounting. While trying to cover his bloody tracks, Jerry starts taking advice from his “talking” sinister cat and benevolent dog.

Ben Stiller was once reportedly being sought after for the role of Jerry, but it looks like Reynolds is now the man for the job. Deadline reports that he’s “circling” the flick, so it’s not set in stone just yet.

Mandalay Vision and Vertigo Entertainment are producing the film, which was written by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2+3 scribe Michael Perry.
