Lifechanger Justin McConnell

Back in November, we brought you the news that George Mihalka, director of the original MY BLOODY VALENTINE, was serving as a consulting producer on writer/director Justin McConnell's LIFECHANGER, a horror thriller that tells the story of

a murderous shape-shifter sets out on a mission to make things right with the woman he loves.

LIFECHANGER is now set to make its world premiere at Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival on July 20th, with the international premiere scheduled to take place at London's Frightfest on August 25th and 26th. In preparation for its festival debut, a trailer and the first poster for LIFECHANGER have now arrived online.

Produced by Unstable Ground and Federgreen Entertainment, in association with 9 Light Entertainment, the film has secured a U.S. distribution deal with Uncork'd Entertainment. Raven Banner will be releasing the film in Canada and is representing it internationally.

As soon as I heard Mihalka was involved with it, LIFECHANGER became a "must see" for me. Thankfully, it has appeal beyond his involvement as well – judging by the trailer, the movie looks like it's pretty cool.

I'm officially hyped to check this one out. I'm jealous of those of you who will be going to Fantasia, since you'll be able to see it in just a couple weeks.
