JoBlo.com partners with “Yeah” Facebook app to give-away 100 free monthly movie subscriptions!

You might have already seen the YEAH Facebook app advertisements on our site over this past weekend, but in case you didn’t, here’s the low-down. JoBlo.com is partnering with the YEAH Facebook app to give away 100 month-long subscriptions to their service. And what exactly is their service? I’m glad you asked! YEAH is basically the ultimate movie fan app that lets you watch some of your favorite movies — RESERVOIR DOGS, THE CROW, JACKIE BROWN, STARSHIP TROOPERS and more — dissected in ridiculous detail.

The app serves up literally hundreds of behind-the-scenes secrets, facts, interviews, quizzes and polls, all while you watch the movie. They dissect some of your favorite films in typical “movie geek “fashion and have conducted their own brand new interviews with the talent/directors, learned all sorts of behind the scenes stuff, etc. and all of that stuff is conveyed through a rectangle underneath the film viewer as you watch. So you’ll be watching a scene and it’ll be giving you info about that scene. Or it’ll say “Watch Wes Craven talk about how he did this scene” and you can click and the movie will pause and a video interview will pop up. There’s quizzes, polls, trivia, etc… The best description I read about it described it as “a special edition DVD on steroids!“. I like that. Not steroids, but you hear me…

In the coming months YEAH will be rolling out more and more fully curated films, including THE SHINING, BLADE RUNNER, CLERKS, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN and many others.
