While he hasn’t spoken with Charlie Sheen in more than seven years, Jon Cryer won’t ” close anything off” when it comes to speaking again.

Charlie Sheen is looking to successfully get back in the good graces of the public eye, showing a level of maturity in reuniting with Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre on his new series Bookie. But will he and Jon Cryer ever be back on speaking terms?

Jon Cryer recently told TVLine that he is still a fan of Lorre but hasn’t spoken with Sheen since around the time Two and a Half Men went off the air. “I have loved working with Chuck…[After Two and a Half Men] I was on Kominsky Method, and his new show [Bookie] really does sound like fun. That being said, I haven’t spoken with Charlie in seven-some plus years, so I have no idea where he’s at.” However, he was fairly optimistic in potentially making amends with his former co-star, saying, “I don’t close anything off. I loved working with those people when it was great — it was really great, you know? — and I’m sad that it got super-duper weird. But everybody, I think, comes from a place of forgiveness, hopefully. As I said, when the times were good, they were really, really good.”

There has undoubtedly been plenty of forgiveness going on with the Two and a Half Men team, demonstrated in the once-severely tainted relationship of Sheen and Lorre now apparently being patched. Hopefully Jon Cryer can get in on this as well; we don’t necessarily need a Two and a Half Men reboot (which would be quite hard considering Sheen’s character was hit by a train) but it might be cool to see him make an appearance alongside Sheen on Bookies.

To his credit, Sheen has taken the blame for Two and a Half Men’s disrupted flow after he was fired. After his character was killed offscreen, he was replaced by Ashton Kutcher’s Walden Schmidt. Surprisingly to many, the show would last another four seasons after Sheen left.

Do you hope to see Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen back on speaking terms? Did Two and a Half Men take a dive after Sheen left? Give us your thoughts below.
