There’s definitely more information revealed at the dinner table than you’d like to know in this red-band trailer for THE CAMPAIGN, but it’s somewhat funny and revealing nonetheless, especially from the Huggins family. The Jay Roach (MEET THE PARENTS) directed comedy, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, centers on two rivals campaigning for the same seat and the lengths they’ll go in order to secure it.

The most surprising thing for me about THE CAMPAIGN is the R-rating. It’s a bold move for a late summer comedy. Not that I’m complaining, as I prefer my comedies to be free to go where they want to go, but I was really expecting a PG-13 with this one. It seems that most comedians are in a love/hate category with audiences, so this could go either way. I dig both Ferrell and Galifianakis, so I’m game.
