Lego Batman director Chris McKay in talks to direct Nightwing film

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

LEGO BATMAN, while not perfect, was still a great ode to the character of Batman and his history. Hell, I couldn't help but get a little misty-eyed at the end. However, one of the big stand-outs, surprisingly, was Michael Cera's portrayal of the Dick Grayson-version of Robin.

So it's no surprise that huge Bat-fan Chris McKay (director of LEGO BATMAN MOVIE) has been tapped to flesh out Robin in a live-action film. Or rather, what Dick Grayson becomes once he leaves Batman – NIGHTWING. Which also explains, once-and-for-all which Robin died prior to BATMAN V SUPERMAN. It's still in early talks, so things might fall through (or go up-and-down like the Matt Reeves thing), but it seems likely he'll take the gig.

And if so, that'd be exciting news! McKay brought fun back to Batman – let's hope maybe he can do the same for the DCEU. Also…maybe there could be a TEEN TITANS movie down the line? The mind reels.

But, anyway, what do you Schmoes think? Sound off below!
