Lynn Shelton, Director of Humpday and Your Sister’s Sister, Dies at 54

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I regret to inform you all on the sad news that director, Lynn Shelton, has passed away. The talented filmmaker, whose credits include HUMPDAY, YOUR SISTER'S SISTER, OUTSIDE IN, SWORD OF TRUTH, as well as the series MAD MEN, GLOW, and LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE, was only 54 years old. According to Ms. Shelton's rep, she died due to complications from a previously unidentified blood disorder.

I hate seeing such a strong creative voice and female role model taken from us so soon, but at least Ms. Shelton graced us with beautiful work that will live on forever. She is survived by her son Milo, her husband of many years, Kevin Seal, her parents Wendy and Alan Roedell and David “Mac” Shelton and Frauke Rynd, her brothers David Shelton, Robert Rynd and sister Tanya Rynd, as well as her boyfriend, Marc Maron (GLOW). Our condolences go out to them all.
