A former Marvel VFX artist is talking about what they say were poor working conditions at the company. Dhruv Govil worked on Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man and he’s supporting his fellow VFX artists that have also taken issue with some of the working conditions at the studio.

In a response to an article posted by The Gamer on Twitter that alleged VFX artists were refusing to work with Marvel, Govill took the time to talk about his own personal experience. Govil says that he has seen fellow colleagues “break down” from being “overworked” and he even cited that working on Marvel projects is why he decided to change industries. You can check out Govill’s tweet below!

Marvel has seen some recent criticism when it comes to VFX after the release of the trailer for Disney+’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The looks of the character received a polarizing response on social media because many fans thought that the CGI work in creating Tatiana Maslany’s alter ego was extremely subpar. If this is a result of some of the VFX team being overworked then that’s something that should be addressed. I’m sure receiving online criticism about their hard work doesn’t help matters and that’s especially true if they’re doing the best they can under poor working conditions.

What are YOUR thoughts on the alleged poor working conditions at Marvel in regards to their VFX team?
