Andy Samberg & Sandra Oh to host the 76th Golden Globe Awards

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

For the first time since Tina Fey and Amy Poehler joined forces back in 2012-14, the Golden Globe Award ceremony will find itself with two hosts. It has been officially announced that Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) will co-host the upcoming 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Not exactly the pairing that I would have expected, but I'm into it!

"Sandra and Andy are the perfect choices to host this world-class event," said Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, Co-Chairmen of NBC Entertainment. "They bring wit, charm, and style to a room filled with the very best of film and television. It’s sure to be another unforgettable fun-filled night." Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Meher Tatna added, "We’re excited to welcome Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg as co-hosts of Hollywood’s Party of the Year. Both Golden Globe Award recipients have continually showcased their talents in film and television, and we can’t wait to see what their undeniable chemistry will bring to the Golden Globes stage." Both Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg are Golden Globe winners, with Oh taking home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Grey's Anatomy in 2006, and Samberg taking home two awards for Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

The Golden Globe nominations are set to be announced tomorrow morning, and we'll be sure to have those up for you, with the Golden Globes ceremony set to air on January 6, 2019 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from The Beverly Hilton.
