Atonement posters

While patrolling the uppity halls of the Toronto International Film Festival, Comingsoon.net managed to capture spy shots of three character posters for the Keira Knightley starring drama ATONEMENT, director Joe Wright’s follow-up to his highly acclaimed (and also Keira Knightley starring) PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Based on the Ian McEwan novel of the same name, the film follows a World War II era young girl and aspiring writer who falsely accuses her sister’s (Knightley) lover (James McAvoy) of committing an unspeakable crime that haunts her for the rest of her life. The film has been garnering incredibly high praise from most critics at festivals in which it’s been featured, with most going so far as to say they expect it to be a serious Oscar contender.
