Back in Time aims to examine the culture shock of Back to the Future

You've undoubtedly heard a lot of BACK TO THE FUTURE talk once we hit 2015, as that was the year Doc Brown and Marty traveled to in the second film. Even that aside, FUTURE is considered one of the more "modern" classics and rightfully so. We could talk all day about how great that movie is, but I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir. That's also the point, and why you're reading about BACK IN TIME.

BACK IN TIME is a new documentary related to the BACK To THE FUTURE trilogy that digs into how the films have affected our culture. It's filled to the brim with new intereviews with its cast and crew, including director Robert Zemeckis as well as Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Lea Thompson, to name a few. The doc also goes behind the players of the film to take a look at its fans and why the film remains popular to this day. You can check out some the action via the trailer below.

While the project is technically on Kickstarter in order to receive the rest of its funding, it's almost garnered half of its goal in 2 days' time, so I have little doubt it will fulfill its commitment. You can check out the website for the film here, of which it will update with screenings as they become applicable. I may not own a DeLorean, but I certainly empathize with the fans who love to revisit the world of BACK TO THE FUTURE again and again. At the very least this documentary looks to share the passion we all have for the film(s). Here's hoping they can deliver something that really cooks!
