Character actor Bill Irwin is the latest addition to Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar

Bill Irwin

Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR has a very impressive cast and it appears another great actor is climbing aboard the much anticipated sci-fi film. The Wrap is reporting that Bill Irwin is set to join INTERSTELLAR but (of course) there is no word on who he will be playing in the film.

Irwin is mostly known for his stage and clown work but has appeared in many films throughout his career including POPEYE, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, and RACHEL GETTING MARRIED. He's also done a ton of work in television such as playing Mr. Noodle on Sesame Street's Elmo's World.

INTERSTELLAR looks like it's going to be a giant film. With Nolan directing, this cast and the plot involving time travel and worm holes, this could be an incredible science-fiction movie. But I do want to learn more about this epic sounding project before I start declaring it the next big thing. There's a lot of hype already for the movie so hopefully Nolan is up to the challenge of delivering a stellar film.

INTERSTELLAR involves time travel and alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The script is based on scientific theories developed by a Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, a gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech.

INTERSTELLAR stars Anne Hathaway, Matthew McConaughey, Michael Caine, Jessica Chastain and will be in theaters on November 7th, 2014.
