Adam McKay has always had a foot firmly planted in the world of politics and it looks like he’s finally going to dive head-first into some drama with THE BIG SHORT. Granted, it’ll be weird NOT to see these great actors take up arms and fight each other to the death, but everything here looks pretty sound if not overly exciting. At the end of the day, this may prove to be change of pace for the comedic director.
