Exclusive: Travis Fimmel, Amanda Collin and More Talk Raised By Wolves!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Ridley Scott is one of the most accomplished filmmakers in Hollywood. From ALIEN to THELMA AND LOUISE to THE MARTIAN, his work is varied and artful. And this Thursday, the legendary filmmaker is bringing us one of the most profound and elegant sci-fi events  in recent memory to television. Created by Aaron Guzikowski, 'Raised by Wolves' beautifully explores a wild new world, one that is unexpected and treacherous. To do this series justice would be to let the talent speak for themselves, and you as the audience just immerse yourself in its splendor. And yes, we did get the opportunity to let the talent open up about this astounding new series.

While the entire cast is impressive, it is Amanda Collin and Abubakar Salim that bring the heart to this adventure. The two opened up about playing "Mother" and "Father" to a group of young children who find themselves a part of this strange new family. The two actors are so brilliantly utilized, and they happily discussed taking on these fascinating roles. Both Amanda and Abubakar couldn't have been more delightful to chat with, and while I've only seen the first six episodes thus far, I cannot wait to continue being a witness to this strange and beautiful creation.

Next up we spoke with both Travis Fimmel and Niamh Algar. While I was familiar with Fimmel before, it's exciting to see him take on a different type of character. Similar to Collin and Salim, the two characters are exceptionally well written. For Fimmel, the actor opened up about his reasons for wanting to be involved in this project. And that reason was a big selling point for Algar as well. Let's face it if you're being cast in a feature or a television series, and you get to be involved in an epic science fiction fantasy attached to Ridley Scott, you take it.

Finally, we sat down with the man whose vision is on display. creator Aaron Guzikowski has down wonders with this exploration of the future, religion, and family. As a viewer, I fell in love with this series and felt as though it could easily exist in the same world as PROMETHEUS – and perhaps ALIEN. While he said there were a few similarities, we're not likely to see anything carry over from those previous films. Aaron also discussed working with Mr. Scott and bringing this awe-inspiring world to life.

And there you have it! "Raised by Wolves" premieres this Thursday on HBO MAX!
