Fear Street Part 2: 1978: new trailer wraps up your holiday weekend!

If you happened to check out Netflix's surprisingly fun Fear Street Part 1: 1994 this weekend, you were treated to a massive cliffhanger and a quick look at the next installment, Fear Street Part 2: 1978. Well, good news, folks! If you dug part one, you don't have to wait long for the sequel, with Netflix dropping it this Friday, July 9th! The streamer has been quite innovative with this "Summer of Fear Street," with them opting to drop the whole trilogy at one-week intervals. Initially produced by 20th Century Films, Netflix picked up the entire trilogy last year.

While the first one ended on a major cliffhanger, the sequel goes back in time to the summer of 1978 to show the formative years of one of 1994's supporting characters, Gillian Jacobs' C. Berman. Stranger Things star Sadie Sink stars in the sequel, which looks like a fun-filled homage to seventies summer camp slashers like Friday the 13th.
