First pic of Peter Capaldi & Mayling Ng on the set of Suicide Squad arrives

With filming well underway for James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD, fans of DC's "worst of the worst" series can expect lots of fun updates to come spilling onto social media throughout the coming weeks. For example, WONDER WOMAN actor Mayling Ng has recently posted a behind-the-scenes photo of herself and co-star Peter Capaldi (DOCTOR WHO) on the set of Gunn's first foray into DC filmmaking.

In the photo, a rather-ripped Ng can be seen sporting a camouflage top with jet black shorts and slick high-top sneakers. Standing tall beside her is Capaldi, who recently shaved his head for the Suicide Squad role. Both look to be fighting the rays of an unruly Atlanta sun, though I've a sneaking suspicion that Ng could make mincemeat of the smoldering star with one swift punch of her mighty paw.

While both Ng and Capaldi's roles are currently being kept under lock and key in the darkest depths of Gotham Bay's Blackgate Penitentiary, that hasn't kept fans from speculating wildly. After lurking a bit online, it looks as if fans are hoping that Capaldi will play Victor Fries / Mr. Freeze for the film. While I have no way of confirming his part, I will say that Capaldi is looking quite "Freezy" with the circular-style glasses of his.

Previously, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) were all named as returning cast members for the film. Set to join the aforementioned antagonists of Gotham are Idris ElbaDavid Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher), Flula Borg, Nathan FillionTaika Waititi, and Steve Agee, as the voice of King Shark.

Gunn is set to write and direct THE SUICIDE SQUAD, which has Chuck Roven and Peter Safran producing and Nik Korda serving as executive producer.
