I hope that you've managed to save some of your Christmas money, because Funko has recently unveiled its new line of Pop! figures and other collectibles related to Warner Bros.' upcoming DC film BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN).

Figures to be featured as a part of the collection are as follows: Buddy Harley Quinn, Pop! Harley Quinn with caution tape jacket, Pop! Harley Quinn in roller derby attire, Pop! Black Canary from the Boobytrap Battle, Pop! Huntress, and Pop! Roman Sionis in a white suit with Chase, in addition to others. Also included as a part of the new line are Birds of Prey key chains, pencil toppers, and retailer exclusives. While no release date has been given for the new items, logic dictates that they'll arrive on shelves in and around the time of the film's February 7, 2020 launch in theaters.

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN) stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig.

When Yan's fantabulously-frenzied celebration of DC's femme fatales comes barreling into theaters, it sounds as if the R-rated romp will have Harley ditching her beloved Mistah J in favor of other women who are just as adept at kicking ass as they are at causing a scene. Without a doubt, Birds of Prey is one of my most anticipated films of the new year, right alongside  DC's other upcoming release, WONDER WOMAN 1984. For me, the trailers have Birds looking like an audacious and additudinal roller coaster, and I can't wait to keep both my arms and legs outside the cart. Let's do this!
