Game of Thrones stars cried during series finale table reading

The series finale of GAME OF THRONES won't air until 2019, which should give you plenty of time to purchase a box of Kleenex or two, for when the program comes to an epic and bloody end.

Recently, Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on HBO's long-running fantasy drama, described the table reading session for the series finale of GAME OF THRONES to Entertainment Weekly as a mixture of exhilaration and depression. “We had the read-through a while ago and at the end of it, we were all on our feet, applauding and crying,” says Turner. “We had everyone there, everyone who’s had any part in this. It was amazing.”

Turner then added, “We closed the blinds and shut ourselves off from the rest of the world and had six hours in this room just reading it through and crying and laughing. We had our emotional bit and then we thought, ‘Well now we’ve got eight months. We’ve still got a while to get through!'”

Ugh! A while indeed. For the moment, the six-episode final season of the swords and sorcery series has yet to announce a release date. Meanwhile, we're all left wondering what the hell we're going to do once all is said and done. I know that there are other shows out there, but no proper GAME OF THRONES? How will we go on? What would be the point of waking up in the morning after the finale is over? Oh sure, there are some spinoffs in the pipeline, but until we know exactly what those shows will be, I shall wine about the loss of GAME OF THRONES thusly! Join me, won't you?
