HBO’s Game of Thrones finds its Euron Greyjoy for Season Six

The Greyjoy clan just got a little bigger within Westeros now that Euron Greyjoy has been found to take his place inside the Seven Kingdoms.

Theon's uncle will be played by Pilou Asbæk in the next chapter of HBO's George R.R. Martin adaptation, perhaps expanding on some of the backstory he's already been given in the book series and, of course, venturing off into new territory given that the show and the novels are all caught up.

For those of you who want to remain fresh, this may be considered SPOILER TERRITORY, since we have no idea what will or will not be shown in Season 6 just yet. Avert your eyes from the coming details.

Euron has shown up in Martin's books before, showing up in A Feast For Crows, with plans to conquer Westeros using Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons. He also captains the Silence, a ship whose crew is made up of mutes who have had their tongues cut out by this particular Greyjoy.

As for Asbæk, he'll be playing Pontius Pilate in Timur Bekmambetov's BEN-HUR remake, and you may have seen him in the past in the Scarlett Johansson hit LUCY or BORGEN for you fans of Danish television.

GAME OF THRONES is currently in production on Season 6, which will arrive to your cable airwaves sometime in early 2016.
