Hot vampires Nikki Reed and Deborah Ann Woll heading to Catch .44

I guess the casting call for CATCH .44 said “Must have experience in bloodsucking” as TWILIGHT’s Nikki Reed and True Blood’s Deborah Ann Woll have now joined the cast.

The pair rounds out a trio of assassins led by Malin Akerman in a film with Bruce Willis and Forrest Whitaker. Willis plays a crime boss, Whitaker a delusional line cook and hitman, and the trio are “sent on a job that might be their last.” So essentially CHARLIE’S ANGELS with the McG stripped out of it I guess. That doesn’t sound like such a bad idea to me.

I like this trio, as all three are actresses who could use more exposure. Reed was one of the better characters of ECLIPSE, as we got to hear a little bit about her backstory which involves (spoilers) quite a bit more gang rape than I anticipated. Deborah Ann Woll is breaking hearts (and necks) on True Blood as Bill Compton’s baby vampire, and she’s done an excellent job on the show so far.

Malin Akerman I know as co-starring in the horrific HEARTBREAK KID with Ben Stiller, and also for being the one weak link in the acting chain in WATCHMEN. But maybe this would be the right role for her at last. I’ll look forward to a trailer, that’s for sure.
