In Treatment season 4 trailer finds therapy in session with Uzo Aduba

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It's been over a decade since the last season of In Treatment graced our screens, but HBO has brought the drama back for a revival starring Uzo Aduba as Dr. Brooke Taylor. HBO has dropped the first trailer for the new season, which features the observant, empathetic Dr. Taylor treating several patients all while wrestling with her own issues.

The original series starred Gabriel Byrne as Dr. Paul Weston, a psychotherapist who had weekly sessions with patients, but also began to question his own abilities and motives, leading him to seek help from his former mentor and therapist Dr. Gina Toll (Dianne Wiest). The structure of the series was also rather interesting, as it aired episodes five nights a week, with each day focusing on a different client. In addition to Uzo Aduba, the new season of In Treatment also stars Joel Kinnaman as Adam, Brooke’s long-time on-again, off-again boyfriend, John Benjamin Hickey as Colin, a charming millionaire patient recently released from prison, Quintessa Swindell as Laila, Brooke’s distrustful, teenage patient, Anthony Ramos as Eladio, a patient who works as a home health aide for a wealthy family, and Liza Colón-Zayas as Rita, Brooke's longtime friend.

The fourth season of In Treatment will debut on HBO on May 23, 2021, with episodes airing Sunday and Monday.
