It's 11:11 and Darren Bousman makes a wish

You ever hear of that old superstition when it's 11:11, you're supposed to make a wish and that wish will come true? Well guess what? It doesn't work (trust me, I've tried numerous times). But that's not stopping director Darren Bousman from wondering what would happen if it did.

Bousman, who directed parts 2-4 of the SAW franchise, has signed on to direct 11-11-11, an upcoming horror-thriller that will revolve around the aforementioned phenomenon. Bousman is currently working on the script but the plot will revolve around what happens on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (and so on), the 11th gate of heaven will open up and allow some supernatural shit to sneak into the earthly realm and scare the crap out of us. The movie is described as along the vein of SIGNS and THE STRANGERS, which doesn't seem to make sense but OK...

I was never a fan of REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA but appreciated that it at least tried to do something different and has, somewhat admirably, found a legit cult audience. More directors should have the balls to try something like that. Bousman has some other projects in the works but 11-11-11 looks to be a priority. 11-11-11 will hit theaters on...nevermind.

Extra Tidbit: If you're lucky you may get a chance to see Bousman's MOTHER'S DAY soon...
