Josh Lucas lands the role of Charles Lindbergh in J. Edgar

Whoever said that the world needed more Josh Lucas, you’ll be happy to know he got a job.

Lucas will be starring in J. EDGAR (this is the third title I’ve heard from this film) as Charles Lindbergh. Yes that Charles Lindbergh. It’s thought that since Damon Herriman has been cast as Bruno Hauptmann, that the film will cover the Lindbergh baby. Hauptmann was the man who was arrested and charged for the crime. He was found guilty of first degree murder and received death by electric chair. Until his death, Herriman was still proclaiming his innocence.

This case was the first big case that Hoover investigated on. It should be interesting to see how much they get into one of the most famous crimes in History. I believe this is the first time that the Lindbergh baby has been a major part of a film, which surprises me. The case was coined at the time as the “crime of the century”In addition to Lucas and DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood will be directing Armie Hammer, Judi Dench, Ed Westwick and Damon Herriman.
