Back in October it was reported that David Lynch had contacted his MULHOLLAND DRIVE star Naomi Watts about possibly appearing in Showtime's Twin Peaks revival, and now Deadline has learned that the actress, as well as Tom Sizemore, have been added to the cast of the new season. They'll be joining Sherilyn Fenn, Miguel Ferrer and Sheryl Lee, and fellow newcomers to the series Laura Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Amanda Seyfried.

The site has also heard rumors that besides directing and co-writing the new run of episodes with co-creator Mark Frost, Lynch may also reprise his original series recurring role as FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole. Last month Showtime CEO David Nevins said Lynch is more than halfway through shooting the limited series. What are your thoughts on the latest additions to the Twin Peaks cast?

Twin Peaks is expected to premiere on Showtime in early 2017.
