David Ayer’s cop thriller NIGHT WATCH (formerly THE NIGHT WATCHMAN, and now to be confused with the incomprehensible Russian sci-fi movie) is shaping up to be a must-see flick, and I’m not just saying that because sexy 28 DAYS LATER survivor Naomie Harris is involved. But that helps.
Harris has joined a potent pile of police players that includes Keanu Reeves, Chris Evans, Hugh Laurie, Forest Whitaker, Common and Terry Crews. The movie, from the writer of TRAINING DAY (and whose last flick HARSH TIMES got shafted to DVD), involves a disgraced LAPD cop who gets framed by his mentor. The script comes from LA CONFIDENTIAL writer James Ellroy. Bang.
Harris has experience handling handguns for law enforcement purposes from MIAMI VICE and AFTER THE SUNSET, in which she competed with Salma Hayek for hotness and annoying accent.
