Rapper Lil Dicky busts a self-serving set of rhymes in Dave series trailer

Yesterday during FX's portion of the TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, the network teased the oncoming arrival of their new comedy series DAVE, which stars rapper Lil Dicky as himself, using his real name, Dave Burd. Not long after the show was announced, FX shared a spirited new trailer for DAVE, in which Burd slings a harmlessly self-centered rap about his series … that he really hopes you'll be tuning in for.

Here's the official description for DAVE, as provided by FX:

The 10-episode new comedy series from Dave Burd, aka Lil Dicky, will premiere at 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, on FXX and the next day on FX on Hulu. The premiere will include the first two episodes, followed by a new episode each subsequent week.

Not a lot to go on, huh? From what I can gather, the show will likely revolve around Burd managing his celebrity status while also positioning himself as a "normal" guy. In fact, he raps about exactly that in the trailer, while also revealing that he too is a fidgety sort and is prone to having a stuffy nose. In other words, Burd is rather quirky, but he still encounters the same amount of daily minutiae as you or I. Will that be enough to fuel ten episodes worth of a new comedy series? I've no idea, but FX is going to provide us with an opportunity to find out when the show premieres on FXX on March 4, and the next day on Hulu. Be sure to tune in to find out if DAVE is worth getting to know.
