Rise of the Planet of the Apes gets a rather good international trailer

Of all the films I thought I'd be looking forward to, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES certainly wasn't one of them, not even back when it had the far more manageable title of RISE OF THE APES.

The last attempt at updating that series was disastrous, and I didn't think a James Franco-led version would be any more successful. But I have to say, the more I see of this movie, the more I'm holding out hope it might actually turn out to be worthwhile. If you view the film in a vacuum, and don't necessarily ascribe any of the other films to it, the concept of an ape becoming super intelligent is a pretty interesting sci-fi concept, and I'm looking forward to seeing Andy Serkis be the star of the show as mo-cop Ceasar, speaking nary a word the entire time.

There's a new sixty second international spot for the film that you can check out below which chronicles Ceasar's journey toward becoming Ape Spartacus. It would be nice if this ended up being as good as I feel it could be, though trailers have misled me before.

Extra Tidbit: Still not sure about Franco though. I know he likes being in everything, but this is an odd role for him.
