Rumors regarding Spider-Man's entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Spider-Man joining the MCU is the most exciting news since IRON MAN actually being a good movie! Who would've thought that the failure of one terrible movie, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, would have led to an alliance between Sony and Marvel? In any case, fanboys' dreams are about to come true and we'll undoubtedly have a much better CIVIL WAR because of it. Given how many characters are in the next CAPTAIN AMERICA flick, how will Spider-man be introduced? Geek.com claims to have the answer for that.

According to their source, Tony would have kept tabs on Spidey (through S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files) and eventually goes to recruit the young teenager. Sounds like a bit of a slick PR move on Iron Man's end, although what reason would Peter Parker have for signing up? Well, it looks like he might have two in CIVIL WAR. The first being that Parker has idolized Iron Man ever since he "came out." The second would be the spiffy new Spider-suit that Tony has built him.

While none of this is set in stone, according to Geek.com, it does make a lot of sense for the MCU. I imagine we'll get to see Spidey's "beginner suit" at first, followed by Tony's souped-up iteration, until Spidey switches sides and goes with his more traditional attire. Still, there's A LOT going on in this film so anything goes. With the Russos at the helm, I'd say they'll probably get Spidey done right!

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will open in theaters on May 6, 2016.
