Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman compliments Michael Bay saying he’s “amazingly respectful”

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES creator Kevin Eastman has nothing but glowing words for Michael Bay’s handling of his work. Now you have to remember that Bay is not the director, I repeat, not the director. He’s simply serving in a producing capacity. So now that we’ve settled this, should we be less harsh on him?

I’m sure Eastman would say so. When speaking on a panel about the upcoming film, Eastman said this of Bay and his overall impression of things up to this point:

“He’s been nothing but amazingly respectful, and Jonathan Liebesman’s been the director.”

“I’ve seen the script. I’ve seen the design of the characters. It’s fantastic. The story has all the right turtleisms. They’re in the sewers. I’m very excited to see the movie.”

Oh and just in case you didn’t get the memo the first time around, the turtles are definitely not aliens. When asked about it, Eastman simply responded with a “No.”

Bay says he’s done nothing but listen to the fans on what they want with this movie. I guess we will find out if the truth will set him free when the flick comes out on June 4, 2014.
