Christopher Nolan's latest follows allied soldiers in World War II who are stuck on the beaches of Dunkirk, waiting to be evacuated as German forces surround them. Talk about your high-stress situations! While Nolan generally specializes in mind-bending twists and turns, DUNKIRK aims to tell a more straightforward and heroic tale. For those of you attending one of the coveted 70mm IMAX screenings of ROGUE ONE, you'll be able to see 7 whole minutes from DUNKIRK ahead of everyone else! With that said, IMAX is the way to go as far as Nolan is concerned. The man certainly knows how to "go big", and I'm sure he'll be consistent in that regard with his war picture. He could release a romantic comedy and I'd be first in line to pick up my 70mm IMAX tickets.
DUNKIRK opens in theaters on July 21, 2017.
